The Infographic Craze!

Most everyone can reference a creative infographic they’ve recently seen that made an impression on them. Whether it had to do with the effects of sitting on a person’s body, the trustworthiness of different facial hair, or the price ranges of beer and hot dogs at Major League ballparks…there is a reason why these infographics leave deep impressions.

Many can debate the reason why an infographic can be so powerful. The fact is that infographics appeal to the visual learner in us all. By using good organization and clever design, an infographic can get across a point quickly and effectively.

So, what does this have to do with SEO, you ask. SEO involves the use of link building efforts through different outlets (e.g. social media, blogs, websites, etc) in order to build the credibility of a website. An infographic can be a great way to gather quality, relevant link backs by sharing readable and popular content.

For example, the below infographic was created by one of Adept’s clients, Phoenix Bats (one of the nation’s leading wood bat manufacturers), and has been successful in getting many bloggers to share it. This is a “win-win” because online readers love to see infographics so a blog owner is getting quality content to post and the client (in this case, Phoenix Bats) is getting a link back to their site from a credible source.

Google values and rewards these types of relationships because one of Google’s many goals is to encourage fresh and interesting content on the Internet. On top of that, Google is looking for users to decide which sites are the most relevant, which is why link backs are so valuable.

In conclusion, any small business out there that is looking to create buzz around their company, look into creating an interesting and valuable infographic to share…this will pay dividends in the end.

Worthington, Ohio Dentist Receives 14 New Patient Leads Within 1 Month!

The challenge here is to increase the amount of qualified new patient leads for the practice moving forward. The goal is to leverage the Internet as a primary lead generation source.

Solution

Adept began managing the practice’s paid search marketing program in September 2010, focusing primarily on Google. In February of 2011, Adept added Yahoo and Bing into the mix.

Result

In the first month of taking the campaign live, Adept generated 14 new patient leads. As of January 2011, the practice was receiving 20+ new patient leads per month with the expectation of increasing that number significantly in the coming months through added exposure in all search engines.

Columbus, Ohio Dentist Increases New Patient Leads Substantially!

Challenge

This office is a full-service, state-of-the-art dental practice serving communities throughout the Columbus, Ohio area. While they run an advanced operation, they didn’t have the online identity they wanted and needed to develop a more professional website presence. As every small business should do, they wanted to utilize their website as a tool to drive new customer leads.

Solution

Adept began working with the practice in February of 2009 and launched their new site in the summer of 2009. Once the website was launched, tactics for generating more traffic, and ultimately new patients, to the website were discussed. Adept started running paid search campaigns in January of 2010 and have been running them ever since. Adept ran campaigns on Google for approximately 8 months and recently added Yahoo and Bing to the mix.

Result

New patient leads have steadily increased since Adept began running the campaigns – starting with approximately 15 to 20 new patient leads per month. Now with a fully optimized campaign on all search engines, the practice is getting approximately 35 to 45 new patient leads per month.

Zen Windows Website Design Case Study

Challenge

Zen Windows had an existing website that was doing “okay” in generating prospective customers. But they wanted more. They wanted to know if it was possible to drive more leads through their website.

Solution

After reviewing the existing website for Zen, it was clear to that Adept could definitely increase the number of prospective customers for their business. While the existing website looked nice, it didn’t have clear click paths for the user, didn’t communicate the value of the Zen service, and was difficult for the user to navigate.

Adept redesigned the structure of the website so that it was easier for the user to find what they were looking for, and designed it in a way that led users down specific paths – so that they would easily take action and become a lead.

In just 1 month, Zen Windows tripled the number of prospective customers they get through their website. Adept increased their conversion rate from .75% to 2.95% which is nearly 1% higher than the national average of all websites!

Pet Palace Gets 800% Lift in Traffic

How does a pet boarding facility grow its client base with minimal advertising investment?

By understanding how people in the local market search for pet boarding services and optimizing the brand for maximum visibility.

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Challenge

Pet Palace Resort is a beautiful pet boarding facility with two locations in Central Ohio. While they are the premium pet facility, they didn’t have premium Google rankings for important keywords. They needed to improve their rankings and ensure that anyone searching for pet boarding facilities would find their website before finding competitor sites.

Solution

Adept began with keyword research to understand how pet owners search in Central Ohio and what terminology they use most frequently. Eight keywords were identified that have the highest search volume locally among people looking for pet boarding providers. Pet Palace did not rank well for the most important terms. In fact, they were on page 6 of the Google results for the most searched keyword.

Armed with a very strong list of targeted keywords, Adept began to implement a series of localized SEO optimization techniques.

Result

Just 6 months after Adept began the local SEO program for Pet Palace, their rankings have jumped all the way to the top. In fact, Pet Palace is now ranked #1 for 6 out of 8 targeted terms, #2 for 1 term and #3 for 1 term. In summary, Pet Palace now has 99% visibility in Google for keywords important to the business.

As a result, traffic to the site has increased by over 800%.
